Junk Removal across Spartanburg County and the Upstate
Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew shows up, loads what you point at, sweeps up and hauls it off. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a garage of heavy furniture, a rental the tenant left full, an office full of desks, an estate where the family lives out of town, a single sofa or appliance. We also take down small sheds, decks and fences and haul the debris, no dumpster required.
It matters here because regular pickup does not take the big stuff on your schedule. Inside the City, furniture goes out beside the cart and waits for a crew; out in the county the roadside and recycling centers take household garbage only, so furniture and construction materials have to go to the Wellford Landfill; and Chesnee will not pick up eviction or move-out trash at all. The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone soon, call the crew. If it is a whole house, or a job that will take you more than a day to sort, a container on the driveway is usually cheaper because you are paying for the box, not the hours. We run both, and we can bundle them.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- A crew that does all the loading, hauling and sweeping up
- Clear, flat-rate pricing based on volume, type of material and access
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, boxes, renovation debris and office furniture
- Same-day or next-day service in many cases — call before noon
- Usable items donated and metal, appliances, electronics and cardboard recycled whenever possible
- A container on the driveway instead if you would rather load it yourself
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Estate and rental property cleanouts are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage, attic and basement full of boxes. Move-outs are next — landlords and property managers with a unit to empty, tenant, eviction and foreclosure cleanups. Then the one-off pile: the sofa, the mattress, leftover renovation debris, fallen branches after a storm.
For businesses it is offices, warehouses, restaurants and retail stores — desks, chairs, cubicles, filing cabinets, shelving and fixtures, and the computers that go to electronics recycling rather than the landfill. We can work after hours so the business stays open.
Junk removal or a dumpster — which is cheaper?
A rough rule: if the job is a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone quickly, call the crew. If it is a whole house, a renovation or anything that will take you more than a day to sort, a container on the driveway is usually cheaper because you are paying for the box, not the hours. When a job needs both, we price them together. We will say which on the phone — we do both.

Junk removal — the local specifics
City and county programs cap what they take and when. City of Spartanburg: furniture and appliances placed three feet from your cart are removed within one to two business days, but no tires, electronic waste, or contractor construction, demolition or green waste. Spartanburg County: no curbside pickup in the county code; the roadside and recycling centers are for county residents' household garbage, open Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and furniture and construction materials go to the Wellford Landfill or Station 16 Wellford. Cowpens' town collection center turns away furniture, tires, lumber and other large items, and Chesnee does not pick up eviction or move-out trash. Hazardous waste: the county runs a household hazardous waste collection event each spring, its staffed recycling centers run a paint exchange, and every center takes lead-acid batteries, antifreeze and residential quantities of used motor oil and filters. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for any of that. Usable items go to donation, and metal, appliances, electronics and cardboard to recycling whenever possible.

Answers
Junk Removal — your questions answered
How is junk removal priced?
By volume, the type of material and how easy it is to reach. You get one flat rate that includes the labor, the hauling and the disposal, before the crew starts. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.
Do I need to be there?
For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. After that, a gate code and a phone number usually do it.
Can you take appliances?
Yes — fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves and water heaters. They are white goods, banned from South Carolina household-trash landfills, so they go to appliance and scrap metal recycling rather than the trash, and federal EPA rules require the refrigerant in fridges, freezers and window units to be recovered before final disposal. We tell you any cost up front.
Do you take electronics and TVs?
Yes. South Carolina bans computers, monitors, printers and TVs from household waste headed to a landfill, so they go to electronics recycling. In Spartanburg County, residents' electronics go to the White Stone, Cooley Springs or Hobbysville centers or the Wellford Landfill.
How fast can a crew come?
Same-day or next-day in many cases. Call before noon and we will do everything we can to get there that day.
Service area
Junk Removal across Spartanburg County and the Upstate
We run roll-off containers out of the Asheville Highway yard to every town below. Spartanburg and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the county are more often next-day. The county licenses private haulers, several towns require a business license, and some keep containers out of the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
