What comes out of Inman properties
Kitchens, baths and roofs in 15s and 20s, cleanouts in 15s and 20s, and a 10 for concrete and brick. Inman code counts building materials and demolition debris as "special material," and §22-20(a) bars putting garbage in any street or other public place. Keep lead-acid batteries, used motor oil, whole tires and home electronics out of the container — South Carolina keeps them out of landfills.

Sizes
Choosing a container size in Inman
Weight is what usually decides the size, not how much room the pile takes up.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 12 ft long × 8 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 3 pickup truck loads | 2–3 tons | Bathroom and small kitchen remodels, garage and attic cleanouts, flooring and tile removal, small roofing jobs, yard debris, and small loads of concrete, brick, asphalt or dirt loaded level. |

| 30 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 8 ft wide × 6 ft high | about 9 pickup truck loads | 4–5 tons | Full home and office renovations, major and estate cleanouts, new home builds, commercial remodeling, large roofing jobs, demolition debris and multi-unit renovations. |
| 40 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 8 ft wide × 8 ft high | about 12 pickup truck loads | 5–6 tons | Commercial and industrial construction, full-building renovations and demolitions, large office and retail cleanouts, apartment and multi-unit renovations, large roofing replacements and storm cleanup. |
Permits, placement and who may haul in Inman
Who may haul: Inman contracts residential collection, but §22-20 has multifamily properties of four or more units use "a commercial dumpster service of their choice," and lets businesses have refuse removed by a private contractor. We found no exclusive franchise. Spartanburg County Code §66-3 requires a county collector's license — we hold ours.
Contractor debris — the rule that matters: §22-44(a) says "All building materials and other refuse, whether the work be done by the hour or the contract price shall be removed by the contractor responsible for the work," and §22-44(b) adds a summons and penalty.
Placement: we found no City permit for a dumpster in the street, and a driveway placement normally needs none — our crew confirms the spot with you. On a state road, S.C. Code §57-7-210 bars obstructions in the right-of-way.
Knocking something down: for a commercial building, or an apartment building of more than four units, SCDES (formerly DHEC) needs a written demolition application at least 10 working days before work starts, even if no asbestos is found. Homes of four units or fewer are generally exempt from the state's asbestos project rules when the owner does the work. Asbestos needs its own handling — tell us before any goes in.
Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.
How it works
Booking a dumpster in Inman
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask your location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
You get one number covering delivery, the standard rental of up to 7 days, pickup, disposal and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
- 3
Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site exactly where you asked, with boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability.
- 4
Load at your own pace
Keep it level with the top edge and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, used oil and filters, liquid paint, chemicals, propane tanks, TVs and computers, and appliances such as fridges, washers and water heaters. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call or text and we are on it.
- 5
We haul it and dispose of it right
The load goes to Spartanburg County's Wellford Landfill — the county's own landfill, where county code sends licensed haulers — with metal, concrete, cardboard and clean green waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

We run roll-off containers out of the Asheville Highway yard to every town below. Spartanburg and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the county are more often next-day.
