Roll-off dumpster rental in Duncan

Approx. 13 road miles from the yard, around 21 minutes.

Duncan is approx. 13 road miles southwest of the yard, around 21 minutes — often the same day. It is a town of 4,041 at the 2020 Census, in Spartanburg County, "centrally located between Greenville and Spartanburg" near I-85 and Hwy 29.

The Town runs its own solid waste program under Chapter 42 of its code, and that chapter makes construction and demolition waste — including waste from tree trimmers and landscapers — the job of the contractor or property owner. We deliver roll-offs here for residential and construction projects, and we confirm the Town's rules before placing a container.

What comes out of Duncan properties

Kitchens, baths and roofs in 15s and 20s, cleanouts in 15s and 20s, new construction in 30s and 40s, and a 10 for concrete and brick. Duncan code §42-113(5) makes it unlawful to put construction and demolition waste in a garbage receptacle or leave it loose, and if it ends up on the Town right-of-way the owner is told to remove it within five working days (§42-111(b)). A container keeps it in one place. The code also bars dumping into someone else's commercial dumpster without permission.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Duncan

Who may haul: Duncan's solid waste chapter has Town Council contract for refuse collection and "accept and approve applications to serve commercial services," and lists commercial solid waste among the categories the Town collects. So we confirm the Town's rules with Town Hall before placing a container. We found no exclusive roll-off franchise. Spartanburg County Code §66-3 requires a county collector's license to collect or transport refuse in the county — we hold ours.

Placement: we found no Town permit for a dumpster in the street, and §34-27(e) makes it a misdemeanor to obstruct a street or sidewalk so it is impassable and then refuse to move it. A driveway placement normally needs no permit, and our crew confirms the spot with you. On a state road, S.C. Code §57-7-210 bars obstructions in the right-of-way.

Knocking something down: for a commercial building, or an apartment building of more than four units, SCDES (formerly DHEC) needs a written demolition application at least 10 working days before work starts, even if no asbestos is found. Homes of four units or fewer are generally exempt from the state's asbestos project rules when the owner does the work. Asbestos needs its own handling — tell us before any goes in.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Duncan

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask your location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the standard rental of up to 7 days, pickup, disposal and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site exactly where you asked, with boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top edge and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, used oil and filters, liquid paint, chemicals, propane tanks, TVs and computers, and appliances such as fridges, washers and water heaters. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call or text and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes to Spartanburg County's Wellford Landfill — the county's own landfill, where county code sends licensed haulers — with metal, concrete, cardboard and clean green waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Dumpster rental in Duncan — common questions

Is Duncan same-day?

Often, yes — about 21 minutes from the yard. Call (864) 310-7644 early and ask.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Duncan?

We found no Town permit for one. On your driveway it normally needs none — keep it out of the street.

The contractor or the property owner. Town code §42-111 puts construction and demolition waste, including waste from tree trimmers and landscapers, on them.

Do you check Duncan's rules first?

Yes. Duncan runs its own solid waste program, so we confirm the Town's rules before we place a container.

Service area

Every town we cover

We run roll-off containers out of the Asheville Highway yard to every town below. Spartanburg and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the county are more often next-day. The county licenses private haulers, several towns require a business license, and some keep containers out of the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
